Q: How does the free 30 day trial work?

 

A. If you signup for a free 30 day trial, you have full use of the software and you are entitled to use as much of the storage space of the plan you signed up for as you wish. There are no restrictions during your free trial period. You will NOT be billed for the free trial period. If you have chosen to pay by credit card, your credit card will be debited for the first time on or about the monthly anniversary of your signup date.

Q: How am I billed?

 

A. Once you sign up for Efficient Data Storage, you will be given the option of paying by credit card. If you have signed up for the free 30 day trial you will not be billed for the first month of service. Thereafter, you will be billed each month on or about the anniversary of your signup date for the next 30 days of service.

 

Your credit card will be debited automatically and you will receive a receipt via email. Payment is due on the monthly anniversary of your sign-up date.

Q: What happens if I go over the amount of storage space that I have purchased?

 

A. If the amount of data that you back up (after compression) exceeds the amount of storage included in your plan (plus any additional storage that you have signed up for), you will receive a notification via email approximately 7 days before the end of your billing cycle. You will be able to continue to backup and use the service uninterrupted. This 7 day period gives you the opportunity to delete files that no longer need backing up or to purchase additional storage space. If you are still over the purchased amount at the time of your next billing cycle, you will be billed for additional storage space at the rate of $0.03 per megabyte if you have a Home User Plan or $0.01 per megabyte if you have Professional Plans.

Q: How do I cancel my account?

 

A. We hope that you will never need to cancel your Efficient Data Storage online backup service account. However, if you do need to cancel your account, please send an email to billing@abetterbackup.com with your username and the reason that you are canceling. Your account will be cancelled at the end of your current monthly billing cycle (or immediately if you are in a Free Trial period). You will not receive a credit for any unused days in the current billing month.
